George attended her first Iyengar yoga class in 2006 and despite being overwhelmed by the instructions flying at her, felt a deep sense of coming home. She walked into that class after feeling fed up with constant niggling back pain from caring for two young children. The discomfort instantly disappeared and she went on to have a third pregnancy and birth using yoga throughout.
As her children have grown, she has dedicated more time to her practice and classes with Edgar and Lydia at Yogatree and completed her Introductory Teacher Training Level 2 in 2017 under the instruction of Sheila Haswell.
George says “I love the wholeness of yoga and how it holds everything we need in its practice and study. I also love the straight lines and alignment in Iyengar Yoga and find it very beautiful. I am excited to be embarking on this next stage of my yoga journey. It will be an honour to teach and guide my students.”
George lives in Bath with her husband and three children. She’s an avid reader, enjoys regular cinema trips and travelling with her family.
George teaches at Yogawest on Monday evenings: 7.45>9.15pm (General) .
