Tamara began training at Yogawest with Gerry and Lynda in 2000. After a lifetime of lethargy and illness she felt completely transformed by a regular yoga practice and she aims to bring this benefit to all her students whatever their current state of fitness or health. Inspired by the excellent teaching she received at Yogawest she qualified as a teacher in 2005 and has continued to study for subsequent levels of qualification, most recently obtaining her Junior Intermediate Level 3 in March 2011.

Keen to deepen her understanding of using yoga therapeutically, she is taking ongoing training with Stephanie Quirk and is also very excited to be visiting Pune to study with the Iyengar family in January 2013. Tamara practiced yoga and pranayama daily right up until delivery throughout her most recent pregnancy and found the benefits to be invaluable. She is delighted to be teaching the Wednesday evening Pregnancy class.

Tamara enjoys teaching students at all stages of their journey and is keen to point out that the  willingness to work hard is much more important than how flexible or fit her students are.

Tamara lives on the edge of the Cotswolds and loves the outdoor life. She is mother to four beautiful girls. Always keen to challenge herself and learn new skills, non-yoga pursuits currently include running (she has just completed her first 10k race), dance and dressmaking.

Tamara teaches at Yogawest on Monday evenings: 6.10>7.40pm (Intermediate 1), 8>9.30pm (Beginners) and on Wednesday evenings: 6.10>7.40pm (Pregnancy), 8>9.30pm (Beginners).
