Therapeutic Series #1(3) Nov 12

Specialist Workshop Series Sunday November 12 with Lydia

SONY DSCFor this series of monthly Sunday afternoon workshops, Senior teachers Lydia Holmes, Lizzie Biggin and Edgar Stringer have designed a course of therapeutic programmes specifically for those with particular ailments. This series is also recommended for teachers and trainees.

Each therapeutic workshop will be followed by a pranayama class.

The first series focuses on lower back care and runs over 4 Sunday dates this Autumn: September 17th, October 8th, November 12th and December 3rd.

SONY DSCThis course is designed as a progressive series of 4 workshops on how to use props and sequences most effectively to alleviate symptoms and reduce further problems. You will get most benefit by attending the whole course (there’s a good discount for this too!); however you are welcome to come to individual dates/sessions if you can’t make the whole series.

Please note this is not a yoga therapy class, but a specialist course for Yogawest students who have injuries and ailments which require specific assistance which is not always available in regular classes.

All three teachers have extensive training and teaching experience and have encountered many common and unusual issues with lower back pain. They have also attended Therapeutic Yoga courses and have assisted RIMYI teachers in the Therapy classes at the Iyengar’s institute in Pune

Edgar, Lydia and Lizzie encourage you to attend both afternoon sessions: the pranayama classes will compliment the benefits of the therapeutic session and develop week by week. However, there is an option to attend a single session if you prefer.

If you have any questions about the suitability or content of these workshops, please ask Edgar directly.
