Parking Scheme

642968_do_not_parkWe are concerned about the impact of the parking scheme being introduced throughout Bristol.

Of course, most Yogawest students arrive by foot or bicycle, which is great if you’re local, but many of our students travel a long way to get to us. They usually park nearby for short times and often also support the wonderful Gloucester Road shops while they are here. We think a parking scheme would jeopardise this and believe it’s entirely unnecessary in this area. Bus prices are steep and public transport is challenging in Bristol, so until that changes many people really have no alternative.

Independent businesses are struggling in Bristol in these challenging times and we need all the help we can get from the council.

Having experienced parking schemes creeping into London over a number of years, our experience is that it adds major stress and inconvenience: there’s a culture of parking wardens, signs, constant clock watching and anxiety about getting a fine – not very Bristol and certainly not very yogic.

As residents we like visitors coming to tea, and having to pay for parking or worry about vouchers and permits is a real deterrent.

Summer Timetable and Autumn Update

We’ve just printed our summer timetable which is available at Yogawest or online here.

Autumn Timetable: We are busy planning the new timetable for Autumn. If you have any requests, now is the time to let us know!

We are considering adding the following classes: Saturday afternoon/early evening; Sunday early evening; Early morning class (which day suits you?); Post natal mother and baby class; Regular family class. Which ones would you come to – we will launch a class if we have enough interest!

José is on his way!

DSC01359 main? The marvellous José María Vigar  arrives from Malaga on the 22 June to teach a weekend of splendid yoga exclusively for Yogawest. Read on for a late booking offer…

José is not going anywhere else in the UK, and people who’ve attended his workshops before know he’s worth travelling for, so we recommend you catch him while you can at his exclusive visit to Yogawest. There are still places available and as a last minute incentive to encourage you to come to what we know you will not regret, we are offering you and a friend the chance to come at a reduced rate – pay for one and get 50% off the 2nd place. Bookings and payments must be made by Friday 14th June.

This weekend is suitable for all abilities, however we suggest you have a few months of yoga experience.

More information about the workshop and the booking form are available here.
