Bristol Yoga Trail September 14th 2013

We’re excited to announce the first year of the brand new Bristol Yoga Trail. It is an opportunity to try yoga at 6 locations in Bristol, explore the yoga space in all of them and to meet the teachers. There will be tea and refreshments served at each stop so bring your friends!
Check the timetable and map for info on events happening in each place. Collect one stamp from each venue on a leaflet you can pick up at any of the participating locations to get a FREE regular yoga class at the centre of your choice.

In the evening, join us for a film screening and refreshments at Yogawest in Bishopston, when representatives from all the venues come together in one place for a sociable evening.

Visit all 6 locations, collect 6 stamps and get a free yoga class!

Yogawest joins Yourstreet Gift Cards

Have you heard of YourStreet Gift Cards yet? YourStreet is a new gift card scheme for independent retailers – it is a multi-store gift card only redeemable in independent retailers and services that are part of the YourStreet network. It is available for purchase online here and you can redeem it at Yogawest!

Kids and Teens Yoga Party

We are having a Yoga Party for children and teenagers at 4.30pm on July 15th. There will be a short class followed by tea and cakes. Everyone is invited: bring your friends, parents, aunts, uncles and neighbours. It is a great opportunity to try a bit of children’s yoga and see what a lovely time we all have. We provide a safe and encouraging environment and we would like everybody to know about how great it is!

Summer postcard competition

With the summer in full swing we’ve been wondering where you are all going for holiday. We’d love to get a postcard from you letting us know where you are and what you are doing.

So, send us a postcard from where you are before the end of August. Keep it fun, keep it sunny, include the whole family and most importantly tell us where you are! We are planning to set up a map on our facebook page so we can compare favourite destinations. And we’ll select a few favourites for a yoga prize in September.

And do remember we’d love to receive a photograph of you doing a yoga pose in a faraway place – in case you haven’t looked recently, we’ve got a lovely collection of Yogawesties Abroad. Send images to

Rajiv Chanchani Workshop

This year, Rajiv is teaching a weekend workshop on the last weekend of August. As we will be closed for holiday in the 2 weeks leading to his workshop, bookings will need to get to us before we close on August 16th. There are 3 days scheduled and those who have been to his workshops before know that it is an event you can’t miss! For those who have not met Rajiv before a few words of introduction: Rajiv is a longtime student of BKS Iyengar and a director of the Yog-Ganga Centre for Yoga Studies in India. He and his wife Swati are the authors of Yoga for Children which has been reprinted many times.
