Use them or lose them!

Yogawest-pollysshoes5246Some of our classes have low numbers and we’d love to get more of you along to them to secure their place on the timetable. These include Wednesday Early Morning, Sunday evening, Friday lunchtime classes. We are also introducing another new Yogawest teacher on Thursday evenings: see below.

Early Morning

earlymorningyogaFor those of you who love to start your day with yoga we have a 7:30-8:30am class taught by Jess. We have some loyal regulars but unfortunately the class numbers are in need of a boost to sustain it. If you have been thinking about trying an early morning class or if you are puzzling over where you can fit more yoga into your week this may be the class for you. Bring a friend before going out for breakfast or come before tackling that pile of paperwork. This class is in danger of being discontinued and we will review it at half term.

Sunday Evening

Julianheadshot2By popular demand we have introduced a Sunday evening  general class from 18:00-19:30. This is a lovely way to finish your weekend and prepare for the week ahead. Julian is a new teacher at Yogawest though many of you may already know him from the classes he attends and covers here. So do come and try it!

Friday Lunchtime

Edgar-458-headshot-170x169Did you know that Edgar Stringer now teaches the Friday lunchtime general class 12:30-14:00? He is a senior teacher so you can expect to learn a lot under the instruction of this very experienced, nurturing teacher.

New Teacher

SONY DSCWe have a new teacher starting with us this month, we are pleased to welcome Luke Hutchison to Yogawest. Luke is teaching the beginners class on Thursday evenings from 18:15-19:30 and foundation courses (see timetable for start dates) from 20:00-21:00.

Firooza Ali Nov 2nd,3rd

FiroozaAliatMDIIYFirooza Ali is coming from India to teach in Scotland, Northern England and Bristol. The Avon Iyengar Yoga Institute has invited her to teach 2 workshops at Yogawest in Bristol on Sat 2nd and Sun 3rd of November.
They are general level classes open to anyone with a year or longer learning with an Iyengar teacher.
We are very fortunate to have a teacher of her experience visit the region, she has learned regularly from the Iyengars from an early age and has taught for many years retreats and workshops in Scotland, Ireland and the North.
The prices for the workshops are very reasonably priced especially for AIYI members and we expect the places to be booked quickly, as it will be publicised nationally.
The Avon Institute Committee looks forward to seeing you there!
