Turkey Holidays in 2018

Two Turkey Holidays in 2018!

Diana and Indira are returning to the wonderful Onuncu Koy hotel in Adrasan, Turkey for two holidays for Heliotrope in 2018.

This is the 6th year of teaching here and each time we go, students insist we re-book the slot for next year. Adrasan is an astonishingly beautiful, largely unspoilt area of Turkey, offering a stunning location, warm and welcoming small hotel, lovely walks and views.

If you haven’t yet been on a Heliotrope yoga holiday, we can’t recommend them enough: the week is beautifully constructed with 2 yoga classes a day, a gorgeous brunch with time to enjoy the beach and locality in the afternoons.

1. May 27–June 3 2018 HALF TERM!
Many teachers and term-bound parents have asked us to offer a half term holiday, so here it is! Turkey is a gorgeous place to be at the end of May: the wild flowers abound and summer is just starting.

2. September 16–23 2018 – WOMEN’s WEEK!
Following an ‘accidental’ women week last September, many participants wanted to do it all again this year, and to keep it as a women’s week. This is a general yoga week, not particularly focusing on women’s issues, but providing a female space in which to practise together.

The Full Yogawest timetable resumes on Tuesday 2nd January 2017.
Termtime classes start up again on 3rd January – check your start dates here.
Course start dates are listed on their webpage:
gentle; pregnancy; postnatal; foundation; early morning; children; teenagers; young adults

Which classes are running?

Many of our usual classes are still running over the festive period, but as teachers are fewer on the ground, some classes are not on. To make things simpler, and to include everyone in our plans, some classes are billed as general level – this means that ALL are welcome, whatever your experience or ability and the teacher will adapt the class accordingly.

Lizzie’s popular 2-hour class on Thursday morning is open to all levels of students and although it’s usually a ladies class, men are welcome and encouraged during the reduced timetable period. It is taught at intermediate level, but beginners are very welcome to come and see what an intermediate class involves – Lizzie/Diana will look after you!

Who is teaching?

Some of our usual teachers are taking a well-earned break over Christmas, and recharging their batteries for the New Year. Most classes are being taught by Yogawest teachers, and they are joined by Melroy Mukwaya who covers classes for us when she can.
