José María Vigar is the founder and director of Sadhana de Yoga Iyengar®, a Yoga School located in Málaga, Spain devoted to the ethical and spiritual development of the human being, committed to the teaching and spreading of Yoga as conceived by Yogacharya Sri B.K.S. Iyengar.
José María became a Yoga practitioner in his adolescence. A graduate from the Universidad de Málaga with a degree in Biology, he is a certified Senior Teacher. He has been his disciple since 1990 and visits the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune (India) every year, in order to improve his training.
Faithful to his Master’s teachings, José María Vigar imparts seminars all over the globe. His classes incorporate the philosophical principles, extracted from the Sanskrit Classical Treatises on Yoga, together with the learning of the art and the science of asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing control), which pose a self-discipline challenge both physical and mental.
As a Teachers Trainer, José María conducts Teachers Training Courses to attain the Iyengar Yoga Certificate in several of its levels, both nationally and internationally.
