Receptionist/administrator role

There is a job opportunity available at Yogawest and we want to offer it to the Yogawest community first, hence this mailshot. It would be a happy result indeed if a current ‘Yogawestie’ joins our wonderful admin team!

Yogawest was hit hard by the pandemic and the challenges continue with the current cost of living crisis. We are working hard behind the scenes so that we can continue to offer the finest classes with our excellent teachers.

We are proud that, despite it all, the Yogawest doors are still open: we run the best timetable we can with a truly amazing and loyal team of receptionists, teachers and students. A particularly big acknowledgement and a huge thank you goes to Helen Chope, Nicola Smith and Lou Sims who have been truly incredible in holding things together, largely behind the scenes, through some extremely challenging years.

Yogawest is looking for a new staff member to join our administrative team
Initially this will be a receptionist role for around 3 hours a week, with an opportunity to grow the position and take on more studio management functions (with additional responsibility and hours) in the upcoming months.

Receptionists perform a crucial role at Yogawest and do a lot more behind the scenes than you might see front of house. We are looking for someone who is willing and enthusiastic; they will be able to work independently, with initiative and common sense. They will have good communication skills and be able to adapt to different challenges as they present. They will need to learn the many aspects of the job and to work as an integral part of the Yogawest team. Living locally would be an advantage, especially as the role develops.
