Yogawest are hosting a Sunday workshop for AIYI (Avon Iyengar Yoga Institute) on March 11th with Cathy Rogers Evans.

The theme is:
” Discovering Tola in life through Asana;
Looking at motivation, intention and attitude to obstacles in our practice. ”

The timings are 10.30-2.30 followed by a brief AIYI AGM to which we’d love you to come. Cost £45 (or £40 for AIYI members current and new).

Cathy Rogers Evans

Cathy is a dedicated practitioner and teacher of Iyengar yoga for 35 years in the UK, USA, Ireland and Mexico. She has studied with Sri B.K.S. Iyengar, Geeta S. Iyengar and Prashant Iyengar, and works tirelessly to maintain the purity of their teaching in her classes. She is a Senior Intermediate Level III teacher (since 2000), and an Assessor and Teacher Trainer for teachers of Iyengar Yoga since 1996 (currently in USA and Mexico). She is one of the two founding members of the Institute of Iyengar Yoga in Sussex (IIYS) in 1993 and since moving from UK to live in the US in 2001, is an active member of IYNAUS. Cathy has taught at many national conventions in England, US and in Mexico. She has contributed to the work of the development of Iyengar yoga in each of the countries where she has taught. Through making Yoga, an ancient science and art form, applicable for the modern age, Cathy inspires her students to continue their personal evolution through practice. Cathy is known for her dedication to the Iyengar method and for the joy, encouragement and precision of her teaching.
