Some of you have told us you’d like to start coming to workshops but are daunted by the international senior teachers who come to visit us. So we’ve prepared a treat this Autumn – two nurturing Yoga Days, each taught by kind and experienced teachers.
The days are designed to give you the time and environment to work on poses and alignments in greater detail than you would during a regular class. Yoga days are a great way to ease your body and mind into the next season (the first is in Autumn and the second will have a focus on preparing you for Winter). Working with two teachers is helpful, not just because there are two pairs of eyes to observe and correct you (!), but because you get a very rounded understanding of the asanas you explore and of course there’s always an opportunity to do some alternative sequences during the day if needed.
Lizzie and Karen, Nov 16th
The first day is on Saturday November 16th, jointly taught by our own Lizzie Biggin and her colleague Karen Dunne from London. Lizzie and Karen have trained together for many years with Sheila Haswell, both deservedly have a loyal group of students, and are looking forward to another opportunity to co-teach, this time at Yogawest. The photo is of Karen and Lizzie teaching at the ‘Womankind Yogathon’ last year.

Indira and Diana, Dec 8th
The 2nd yoga day is Sunday December 8th, taught by Diana Penny (from Yogawest) and Indira Lopez-Bassols (from Mexico via Wimbledon). Diana and Indira taught their first yoga holiday together in Turkey earlier this year and have already been booked to return next May. They enjoy the energy of teaching together and find that their union brings out quite different qualities than their delivery as individuals. They are looking forward to seeing those of you that have specially requested a Bristol workshop with them.
