Easter at Yogawest

Reduced Timetable

There’s a reduced timetable at Yogawest between Wednesday March 27th and Friday April 5th.

Details

Yogawest is closed on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th March with no classes running. We are running special workshops on Easter Friday and Easter Sunday (no timetabled classes on those days), and on Easter Saturday we are open for the 2 morning classes as usual.
Yogawest is closed on bank holiday Monday April 1st, and re-opens with a slightly reduced timetable that week (only Jess and Kirsten’s classes are not on: see list of classes not running below), back to our usual full timetable on Saturday 6th.
Check the timetable online for up-to-date details that week.

Easter Weekend

On Easter weekend we are running two 3-hour workshops which will be a lovely way to mark the change of season and get your yoga practice into summer gear. Andrea is teaching which gives you a great opportunity to work with her at a deeper level before she leaves Bristol in May. Book in advance to save money (just 3 stamps on your yoga card for each workshop).

Friday March 29th 3–6pm
A restorative afternoon, similar in feel to Andrea’s Friday evening class but with more time to explore individual poses and focus on pranayama. A wonderful way to prepare for the Easter weekend!
Cost: £25
or 3 stamps on your yogacard (if booked in advance)
or 4 stamps on your yogacard (if paid on the day).

Saturday March 30th
Classes run as usual: 9.45 Intermediate and 11.30 Beginners.

Sunday April 1st 11am-2pm
A steady paced general workshop, with plenty of time to look at some asanas in more detail. A good workshop to do in addition to the Friday one, or on it’s own. (NB the clocks change that weekend, so 11am will feel like 10am!).
Cost:
£25
or 3 stamps on your yogacard (if booked in advance)
or 4 stamps on your yogacard (if paid on the day).

Both workshops are suitable for all levels, Andrea will work with you according to your ability, so more advanced students will be challenged and those withe less experience will be given alternative poses if needed. Beginners are particularly encouraged: it’s a lovely way to try out a shorter workshop before coming to a yoga day or weekend.

Easter Weekend Workshops

Andrea’s workshops on Easter Friday and Sunday

On Easter weekend there are two 3-hour workshops with Andrea which will be a lovely way to mark the change of season and get your yoga practice into summer gear. Andrea is leaving Bristol in May, so here is an opportunity to enjoy practicing with her before she goes.

Book in advance to save money (just 3 stamps on your yoga card for each workshop).

Good Friday March 29th Restorative and Pranayama Workshop 3–6pm
A restorative afternoon, similar in feel to Andrea’s Friday evening class but with more time to explore individual poses and focus on pranayama. A wonderful way to prepare for the Easter weekend!
Andrea says:
“We will be exploring two aspects of supported practice. The Restorative aspect where we learn how use different equipment to achieve yoga postures which can be maintained for longer periods of time to allow the body to restore and recuperate.
Also introducing the Subtle aspect of the practice, where we use the postures to open and soften in order to invite the mind into the world of breath. This will lead us to expanding our own perception of the inner world with the use of Pranayama techniques.”
Cost: £25
or 3 stamps on your yogacard (if booked in advance)
or 4 stamps on your yogacard (if paid on the day).

Easter Sunday April 1st General Workshop 11am-2pm
A general workshop, a good one to do in addition to the Friday one, or on it’s own. (NB the clocks change that weekend, so 11am will feel like 10am!).
Andrea says:
” this 3 hour workshop will help us to deepen the understanding of ourselves through the yoga postures. The extended time will give us an opportunity to have a look at more poses in more detail.”
Cost: £25
or 3 stamps on your yogacard (if booked in advance)
or 4 stamps on your yogacard (if paid on the day).

Both workshops are suitable for all levels, Andrea will work with you according to your ability, so more advanced students will be challenged and those with less experience will be given alternative poses if needed. Beginners are particularly encouraged: it’s a lovely way to try out a shorter workshop before coming to a yoga day or weekend.
