A weekend of yoga with Marios

SONY DSCWe are delighted to welcome our friend Marios back to Yogawest for his annual December visit in celebration of BKS Iyengar’s birthday weekend.

An opportunity for old friends to catch up with him in Bristol and for others to discover his wonderful teaching. Many of you will have enjoyed Marios’ excellent weekends the last two years at Yogawest (see photos here).

Two days practising and exploring asanas with Marios is the perfect way to prepare for the Christmas season and the winter ahead.

Sunday December 10th, 10–4pm (to include a break)

Marios Argiros

MariosArgiros2009_03130014 (106x150)Marios is a Senior Intermediate Level 3 Iyengar Teacher who combines teaching yoga with his work as a classical musician. He trained at the Manchester and District Iyengar Yoga Institute and makes regular visits to India to study with the Iyengar family at the Ramamani Memorial Institute in Pune. He has also been inspired by the teaching of Jeanne Maslen, Jawahar Bangera and Firooza Ali among others.

In 2005 he began teaching yoga holiday courses in Crete and values enormously the opportunity to spend several months in Greece each summer studying and teaching yoga. Marios is qualified and fully insured to a level which enables him to undertake remedial work with injuries and chronic conditions, and finds that these students benefit enormously from the precision of Iyengar Yoga. Since a serious car accident in December 2009 he has experienced at first hand the power of yoga to heal and strengthen.
