Many congratulations are due to the Yogawest teachers that have recently passed exams, gaining a new level of qualification.

Intermediate Junior exams (the next level after Introductory) are taken in Spring and have 3 levels.

This year Zöe Hope passed at Level 1 and Katy Hinchliffe and Annemarie Caracciolo both passed at Level 2.

Well done to all!

Dynamic Class Monday evenings 8.30pm

SONY DSCZöe Hope is teaching this new class, launching in January 2017, featuring fast moving Iyengar sequences to stimulate and invigorate.

This class is suitable for those who want to work a little faster in class; it will include restful poses at the end to calm the body and mind before bedtime.

Good for skiers, climbers, cyclists and runners!

Not suitable for pregnancy or those with injuries.

On evenings you have less energy then usual, you may prefer to go to Tamara’s general class at 8.15pm instead.

Boys need yoga!

New teenager class starts June 6th – boys encouraged!

SONY DSCWe’ve set up a new teenager yoga class for both teenage girls and boys. Our Monday teenager class is very girl-dominant and we hope more boys may come if there is a class with more boys in it.

Teenagers tend to get very stiff in their joints and muscles and due to various lifestyle habits (sport, gaming and of course school-stress), can find it difficult to undo tension and body stress. Regular yoga practice can help to teach and encourage greater body awareness, flexibility and focus.

Many sporting celebrities (Ryan Giggs for example) have used Iyengar yoga to support their career in Rugby, Football and Cricket to name but 3 sports.

This class runs on termtime Thursdays at 4.30 and is taught by Zoë.

SONY DSCPlease help us get this class off the ground – tell your teenagers!
